Lead Commissioning Engineer
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Must possess strong leadership to lead a commissioning team
Have an excellent overview of how the Oil and Gas production facilities operate and have sound experience to take a lead to start up Oil and Gas production facilities
Capable in planning, organizing and coordinating workforce and tasks for the successful completion of facilities pre-commissioning, commissioning and start up works
Must have sound knowledge in Completion Management System (CMS)
Have a sound knowledge of Piping, Static Equipment, Control Systems and rotating equipment operation as well as System Reinstatement Leak Testing of Piping and Topside facilities
Must be able to read and interpret PEFS (P&ID) & UEFS
Have a good understanding of SIMOPS philosophy/concept and work experience in SIMOPS operation
Shall have effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership/influencing skills
Able to supervise and manage a group of commissioning team
Must be able to manage the risk and safety performance of the project at offshore
Must be able to drive the team to delivery project on schedule and safely
Have a good overview of PLC based Integrated Protective System (IPS), Fire & Gas System (FGS), Distributed Control System (DCS), Gas Compressor control, Turbine control and motor/pumps control system
Have a good overview of Power Generation & Distribution system, Smart Motor Control Centre, HV and LV Switchgear, Diesel Emergency Generator and Controls, Turbine Generator and controls, Synchronizing Panels, Uninterruptible Power Supply, Battery Chargers, LV Switchboard and Local Control Panels
Have a good understanding of Hazard Effect Management Process (HEMP) & HAZOP
Have HSSE competencies in Provide Leadership in HSSE (skill), Prepare Effective Management of HSSE Risk (knowledge) and Apply Effective Management of HSSE Risk (knowledge)
Shall have the ability to make quick and sound decision.
Experience & Education
Bachelor of Engineering / Science in Mechanical/Mechatronic, Petroleum Engineering, Instrumentation/Control, Electrical & Electronics, Chemical/Process Engineering or Electronics/Communication or equivalent OR UK City and Guild Level 5 or equivalent OR BTECH Higher National Diploma (HND) Level 5 or equivalent
Offshore / onshore project fabrication, testing and commissioning, Hook Up and Commissioning (HUC) in oil and gas projects
Facility / Plant start-up and handover in oil and gas projects
