Process Safety Engineering Manager
Pranav Kalantri is a process safety and operations engineering specialist with 8 years of experience supporting offshore and onshore oil and gas production facilities. He serves as the Process Safety Engineering Manager with Viking Engineering following engineering consultancy roles, an earlier process engineering co-op, and a university research role.
His technical work spans process hazard analysis, including facilitation of HAZOP, LOPA, and HAZID studies, along with design reviews, operability studies, operating procedure development, initial startup planning, and operator training for deepwater and shallow water production facilities.
He specializes in system-level process engineering studies to identify operability constraints, de-bottleneck interfaces, and solve complex operational issues. His project experience spans initial startup planning, flow assurance modeling, process modeling, plant and package capacity analysis, PSSR and MOC coordination, much of it supporting offshore developments in the Gulf of America and the Middle East.
