GATE Engineering Intern Program

The GATE Energy Intern program exposes engineering undergraduates to projects spanning a wide range of engineering disciplines critical to the energy industries. 

As a Commissioning Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside a team of experienced engineers to support the design, testing, and implementation of engineering projects. This role provides exposure to real-world applications of engineering principles while contributing to ongoing projects and operational improvements.

Gain Valuable Work Experience

Not only does our internship provide the opportunity to gain hands-on, work experience that you just can’t get in the classroom, our interns also attend a series of training courses developed and delivered by technical experts within GATE Energy, BlueFin and Viking.

These courses allow our interns to establish a broad range of knowledge about the energy industry and builds their ability to see the “big picture” through a systems approach leading the way to providing more valuable support to our projects.

Monitoring & Assessment of the Internship

Throughout the internship program, each intern will research a project-related topic and, upon completion of the program, present their findings to BlueFin employees.

Qualifications

This position requires an individual with a proven work ethic and good communication and team working skills. Must be currently enrolled in an Engineering Program. Previous internships and extracurricular activities are strongly preferred.
