Product Description

BlueFin’s Safety Spool Basket Model A is used for transporting control line spools to offshore locations. The basket has safety features that provide loading and securing of spools inside the basket without having any persons inside the basket.

The basket features removable half-ends which allows the user to remove the upper half of the end of the basket so that spools do not have to be lifted as high to clear the sides of the basket. The design of the removable ends does not alter the DNV performance.

• Can be used to transport 1 or 2 spools up to 85” diameter and 62” overall width.

• The spool spreader bars are equipped with a 3-1/2” Schedule XXH API 5L x52 pipe for use with spools that have a 4” arbor hole.

• All baskets and Spreader Bars are galvanized coated to prevent corrosion from seawater exposure.

• Removable front top rail for safer spool loading and unloading operations.

• Completely enclosed, providing maximum protection to personnel and products.

• Removable drain plugs allow rainwater to be drained.

• No personnel required to be inside the basket when spools are being loaded or secured to basket.

• Spreader Bars provide the safest means of lifting spools to prevent damage to expensive control lines.
