ElastiPig: The 1st Choice for Decommissioning

ElastiPig is a highly malleable, elastomer-solid pig that exerts minimal outward pressure when transitioning flowlines. It creates 100% surface area contact with the pipe wall, providing excellent sealing capabilities. ElastiPigs are useful when used alone or in combination with mechanical pigs, pipeline gels and/or chemicals.

ElastiPig can be used in place of foam/poly pigs, especially when pipelines are considered to be “unpiggable” or at high risk of traditional pigging methods failing. It is not susceptible to sour environments or most chemicals. ElastiPig can be utilized for any standard pigging applications such as: batching, fluid separation, dewatering/de-oiling, flooding, decommissioning, and hydrotesting.

ElastiPig Uses

  • Pipeline Maintenance

  • Process or pipeline work onshore or offshore

  • Batching, fluid separation, dewatering/de-oiling, flooding, decommissioning, and hydrotesting

Advantages of the ElastiPig

  • Elastic Solid

  • Can reduce to half its original diameter, yet still remember its original size & shape

  • Propelled with any gas or liquid

  • Elongates thru ID changes opposed to compressing

  • Navigate large internal diameter changes

  • Shelf life of 6 months

  • Extrudes through small opening at low pressures (≥ 1/2”)

  • Can be used with or without a launcher/receiver

  • Hydrotest pressure up to 8,700 psi

  • Density 6.5 lb/gal

  • Temperature Range: 26-167F

ElastiPig Uses

Packaging

ElastiPigs are normally pre-molded and delivered ready to use within 24 hours of casting. The canisters do not need to be pressurized, are lightweight, and come with a flange plate. The pig is designed to have a threaded plunger, which allows the ElastiPig to be directly inserted into the pipeline or pre-existing launcher from its canister. ElastiPig can also be molded into high pressure canisters and spool pieces, directly launched and pumped thru.

ElastiPig Uses

  • Pipeline Maintenance

  • Process or pipeline work onshore or offshore

  • Batching, fluid separation, dewatering/de-oiling, flooding, decommissioning, and hydrotesting

Applications

  • Onshore and offshore

  • Industrial food, chemical, or pharmaceutical
